I’ve been thinking about how different crypto feels today compared to a few years back. Back then, swapping coins without showing your entire ID book was almost normal. Now it feels like everything is tracked.
Are there still decent ways to stay private when you swap crypto in 2025? Especially for Canadians? I’d love to hear real experiences.

Exactly. I’m not anti-regulation or anything — I just think people deserve an option. As long as you’re swapping normal amounts and not laundering yachts, it should be fine.
Anyway, I’ve done two swaps already there with no issues. I’ll post back if anything changes.
Curious if anyone else here knows similar sites or tips? Let’s share them.
That’s exactly my worry, Jordan. Not that I’m doing shady stuff — it’s just weird how much you have to share for simple swaps. I’m not sending millions.
Alex, thanks for the link, man. I’ll check it out. If it works smooth for small stuff, that’s all I need.
Feels like we have to take privacy into our own hands these days anyway.
Good to know. I’ve been sketched out lately because a buddy of mine got locked out of an account just trying to move 300 bucks. His bank flagged it too.
I’m curious — does anyone here worry about legal stuff when using no-KYC sites like that? Or is it more about avoiding headaches?
I wouldn’t mind trying something simpler if it keeps my info out of random databases.
Yeah, I hear you — it’s like the old wild west vibe is gone. Every time I try to move even small amounts, there’s a KYC form popping up. I miss the days when it was just wallet to wallet and done.
I recently found this site that still lets you swap crypto without ID: https://coinexchangecanada.ca/
The process was fast, and no personal details needed. Honestly, for small swaps, it felt like going back in time. If more people know about these options, privacy in crypto doesn’t have to die out completely.
