In our office, people often put sticky notes on monitors to say “do not disturb,” but I feel like it’s outdated and sometimes gets ignored. Are there any more modern or tech-savvy ways to signal you're busy, especially ones that integrate with calendar apps?

I found the old sticky note method just didn’t work anymore, especially in a tech-forward workplace. That’s why I switched to using the Luxafor Flag 2 upgraded notification light. It syncs with my Outlook and Teams status, so when I’m in a meeting or focused block, it turns red automatically. People walking by immediately know I’m unavailable, without me having to say a word. The newer version is sleeker and more customizable, and honestly, it’s saved me from so many surprise interruptions. It’s just enough to create space without being dramatic about it.
Interesting point. I’ve seen some coworkers try software statuses, but they don’t always work if people don’t check them regularly.
